Phil Blackwell: We wondered how Indian River would play after being sidelined for the first two weeks. The Warriors responded emphatically to these questions in the second half against FM. Homer picked up a solid Class B victory over VVS, and Baldwinsville beat Liverpool to go 3-0 before what should be quite a scene at Pelcher-Arcaro Stadium on Friday, with the Bees offering the final challenge to the long-held C-NS on the AA class ranks of the zone.

Rocco Carbon: Baldwinsville is coming off a road win at Liverpool using a two-quarter system. The top five Class C teams are all undefeated, allowing one battle to remain No.1. CBA, Central Square and West Genesee are looking to get back on the pitch after the Covid break.

Kate Calloway: There isn’t a lot of movement in the big classes, but there is a ton of change happening on my side of the 8-man B-class! Cazenovia climbed to second place in Class C after catching fire against Solvay. My surprise team of the season so far is Adirondack! The Wildcats got off to a great 2-0 start after beating Onondaga and Westmoreland / Oriskany. With these victories, they not only entered my ranking, but they moved to second place behind Dolgeville.

Jackson Lawrence: Class A continues to be rocked and will continue to do so throughout the season with more and more teams in the wake. It looks like there are about five or six teams that can challenge Indian River at the top. The five teams in my Class C standings are unbeaten, but we all know that won’t last long with many good games to come.

Pat Spadafore: With new teams taking the top spots, the excitement of Section III football continues. A big challenge this week for Cicero-North Syracuse when he visits Baldwinsville on Friday. On Saturday, Morrisville-Eaton welcoming New York Mills and Oneida to Camden should all be interesting.
