LeGood, 19, was acquired from the LaSalle Vipers this week for cash.

“Isaac is a veteran player in our league,” said Maroons head coach and general manager Tyler Roeszler. “He has a great skill set and we think he can be a goalscorer for us. He will add experienced depth to our group of attackers.

The six-foot-two, 180-pound Good is entering his second season in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League.

The LaSalle native has four goals and nine assists in 42 games with the Vipers during the 2019-20 season.

After visiting the Stars on Friday, the Maroons will welcome the Sarnia Legionaries at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Chatham Memorial Arena.

The Maroons (1-1-0-0) are looking for their first home win after losing 3-1 to the St. Marys Lincolns last Sunday.

“I really think we need to be stronger on the board,” defenseman Will McCracken said after the loss. “Our intensity must be there. … Even I have had too many presents.

“Having a lot of rookies, we’re not really used to the small ice yet, but I think over the rest of the season we can definitely dominate at home.”

Power scores three points at national championshipst

Former Maroons forward Zach Power scored three goals and set up the winner as the Nationals beat the Komoka Kings 5-4 in overtime on Wednesday in London.

It was the start of the season for Power, a 20-year-old Glencoe forward who returns to GOJHL after a year of absence.

Power played two seasons for the Maroons before joining the Navan Grads of the Central Canada Hockey League for the short 2020-21 season.
